You are here and thanks for taking the first step towards your future in the grant seeking journey. KBE wants to eliminate any barriers to growth by clarifying the grant acquisition process. As your peer in business, we interpret and translate so you are clear. We ease into this journey engaging in the following four (4) steps.

1. ATTEND a complimentary session to learn how the KBE Way clarifies the “grant” process.

2. SCHEDULE a discovery session to discuss project overview, funding goals, grant writing experience, resource assessment, target funding, and matchmaking. The goal is to clarify expectations, gain insight from each other, start planning a potential strategy, and build our relationship.

3. CHOOSE or Chart Course direction based on discovery summary and navigation options available.

4. BEGIN THE JOURNEY by partnering with KBE Consulting, LLC via signed agreement.

stepping stone 2 SCHEDULE ————————-> Discovery Session with Navigator [2 part: 1) Preliminary discussion/see if this is a good fit, 2) If a good fit–client provides more information to Navigator for Summary of Needs Analysis and Readiness checklists. Another appointment is scheduled to discuss navigation options.]

stepping stone 3 CHOOSE Level of Support “NAVIGATION”——-> Discuss navigator options as pre-award coach, pointer, guide, or proxy. [CLICK ON EACH TYPE TO FIND OUT the services included]

a. Pre-Award Coach [DIY Mode Contract] Client forwards electronic copy of application, steps in process (complete RFP, scope, etc.). Navigator confirms qualification, provides checklists, advises key staff, reviews application pre-submittal, and PA Coach role ends. Client applies online without further support from coach.

b. Pointer [Pre-Award w/Coaching through online application Contract] Reviews RFP, application, confirms qualification, provides checklists, advisement to key staff (Owner/Director, Fiscal, pending needs of application), pre-submittal review (1-week prior to deadline), client & navigator apply online together;

c. Guide & Trainer [Full Cycle Staff Support Contract- Pointer takes the journey with you. Hourly 1099 (minimum 10-hours per week).] This means the guide has access to leadership as an administrator (consultant), application(s) is/are submitted according to strategic plan, agency must add Guide to application database w/permissions as administrator, agency liaison gains access to KBE secured client records grant management (CRM), reporting reminder to key staff with review for compliance prior to submittal, data tracking, and grant opportunity alerts. Grant management training and access for 1 staff person through close-out for one full grant cycle.

d. Proxy [Grant Seeker Coordinator- Considered a 1099 administrator (20-hours/week)] All a Guide does PLUS privileges to initiate contact on behalf of your agency, permitted to act on your agency’s behalf to set-up application(s) online account, apply for IDs required (e.g. DUNS number) by the grant, must report directly to final decision maker and signer of applications. Grant management training and access for 1 staff person through close-out for one full grant cycle.

stepping stone 4 AGREE TO THE JOURNEY [CLIENT takes time to decide the amount of support their budget will allow- post receipt of summary of needs (provided by Navigator). Agreement is drawn with process, next steps, start date and payment arrangements.
